Golden Age of Musicals with Travis Milliman
The years spanning 1940 to 1964 are known as the Golden Age on Broadway. This time period gave us many of Broadways greatest hits, including Damn Yankees, Guys and Dolls and the Music Man. However, it also gave us some of musical theatre's most dynamic creative teams. Join Greenwich Library's Performing Arts Librarian, Travis Milliman, for a trip down memory lane and explore some of the finest creations Broadway history has to offer. This is a 3-part series:
July 3rd: Lerner and Love (My Fair Lady, Camelot, Brigadoon)
July 10th: Rodgers and Hammerstein (Oklahoma, Carousel, The Sound of Music)
July 17th: Bock and Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof, She Loves Me, Fiorello!) Registration is required.
